Addressing Students at Santa Monica College

Partners for Responsible Trade and Rosa Moreno were asked to be guest speakers at Santa Monica College. We were also interviewed for a story in the spanish newspaper La Opinion in Los Angeles. These types of events are so important for raising awareness about conditions in offshore factories. We are looking forward to arranging similar speaking events in the future at universities around the country. I hope that hearing Rosa’s story will help start the conversation among consumers about the safety issues and injustices that occur in the factories where our products are made. There is a worker behind every product that you buy and that worker may be being exploited; be a voice for that worker.
